Since a great number of oboes have cracked, impossible to repair is far from true. What is virtually impossible  to do is prevent them from cracking. The supper glus have been a godsend for the finer cracks as it will wick in. I doubt one could get the Gorilla glue thru the crack as it is much thicker than the super glues. Now when you get into larger instruments, that can change. Big issue is the cause of the crack and preventing further ones. There is a break in procedure for all woodwinds that have not been played for a long time or new. Wood is constantly moving. You have to be sure the inside and outside move the same. Of course one could consider it a sign to move to a more stable instrument.  Ill wind to be sure.
