New update to the contrabass classified ads, including a Leblanc contra to low D, and a Selmer Paris bass clarinet in A. See http://www.contrabass.com/pages/classified.html. Both horns (and a few others) are being offered by Windband, - I *think* the price listed includes the 17.5% VAT, which would be subtracted for anyone outside the EEC (although you may make it all up in customs/import duties).
Enjoy!

his bass saxes. He said that he would only sell his instruments on an
in-person, face-to-face, cash-and-carry basis. He does not want to get
involved in shipping his instruments.Sorry,

Your last posting about the bass clarinet in A mentioned subtracting the VAT
from a purchase made in England, but the possibility of having to make it up
with duties and import fees in the USA. Anybody on the list purchase an
instrument from a dealer in Great Britain and found duty fees charge for
import to the USA? I had this occur 27 years ago with a Selmer Bari sax and
was wondering if this is still the way of the world.
