Subject: Bass dudy?

Maybe it's the other way around: crossing our eyes tunes us in to low-
frequency vibrations.  (I don't do stereo photography, but I seem to have
acquired about two dozen books of stereograms even though I am not not
NOT!! collecting them....)

And now for something completely different....
My grandfather played dudy (Czech bagpipes, powered by air pumped in with
a bellows squeezed between the player's left elbow and rib cage).  His dudy's
origin as a dead goat was gruesomely obvious because of the bellybutton on
the bag and the fetlocks dangling decoratively from the 2 drones (you don't
want to know any anatomical details about the bellows, trust me), but the
instrument sounded wonderful, more subtle and sinister than Celtic bagpipes.
Does anyone know if dudy ever came in bass sizes?  Dead cow, maybe?

Thanks!
Lelia
