Welcome aboard!
Yep, Contrabass-L just had issue no. 42. I'll add you to the list. You can look up back issues at http://www.crl.com/~gdgreen/c-arch1.html , or let me know and I'll email them to you.

Hello again,
I was a subscriber over the summer, but
left my job in Cambridge, MA to move across the country to
the cental valley in California. Now here I am again back on
line! I play all of the woodwinds (some people out here call
me a "doubler") and am performing in some groups in
the central valley. At present, I am concentrating on
bassoon.
I enjoyed reading the Contrabass-L digest when I was receiving it and look forward to receiving it again.
Cheers,
-Mike Mori
Welcome back, Mike!
Whereabouts in the central valley are you?

Grant,
I could try writing to Mr. Leblanc about whether the instruments are still at Leblanc France and are still playable and ask him about this project. He is retired (I assume) now so I would also have to write to someone else about the recording idea but I am sure that I could manage that. It might be possible to have any non-subcontra pieces recorded in the States and the others (the important ones!) in France.
Incidentally, the 3 Stravinsky pieces might do for the B Flat and A Clarinets as they are a classic and also short!

Francis,
Unless someone has a "tighter" contact, I'd say go ahead. We'll all appreciate it!
