The recent eBay scammer (beteherc) has reappeared as betahero. I
saw that 347 items had been uploaded to ebay in 20 minutes. This time
the prices are in dollar, not pound, and I think they're no longer
"private auctions". I have reported it to eBay. I've also reported two
of the items apparently being sold by someone else with a valid
feedback record - I've reported it as possible identity fraud.
OOPS - even as I write this, I check back and see that the items
have disappeared and he's "No longer a registered user". Perhaps
they're on to it!

that's just the point. no one but eBay has any info on him and
it's probably not accurate. it takes a lot of sleuthing by different
groups of folks to uncover these folks' true identity. hence eBay's
inaction (as far as we know).
therefore, the best we can do is look for likely scams and
report them. good job folks!
