Once again the same ridiculous list of items is on offer on ebay
- this time starting at £1 (British pound) while the location is
given as "US 1-3days". The contrabass clarinets have been withdrawn
(reported?) but the user "beteherc" has 477 items, all with catalogue
pictures, etc..
If my report to ebay has been not been acted upon by the time
you read this, try item 4355326563 - Amati Bass Clarinet, then look at
Seller's other items. If you are in the mood to do good, may I strongly
suggest that you arbitrarily pick a few key words from the item
descriptions, and add them your "favourite searches". Then, if and when
the same item reappears under yet another different user name, you'll
get notified and you can check the seller's other items. If they
look fraudulent, do the following (or find a better variant of the same
idea):
complete the form
- box 1, Report problems with other eBay members
- box 2, Problems with sellers
- box 3, Suspended seller is selling under another user ID
- on the next page, click email
- enter the new suspicious user name
- enter the believed previous names (e.g. jansfure, beteherc)
- skip item numbers (there are too many)
- in the message box explain that you believe all the user's
items to be fraudulent (e.g. you've seen them before, the location is
suspicious, the started amounts are ridiculous)
I think this "seller" must be relying on getting a few pounds or
dollars from unsuspecting buyers, time and time again, before ebay
catches him each time. The above may help to put a stop to it. If you
are moved to help as suggested, here are some key words, in case the
seller is pulled before you get this message.
- Amati Model 340 German G Clarinet
- Diamond Violin Pin
- Buffet Bass Clarinet
Happy eBaying, everyone!!!!!!

Not A Registered User (strikes fear in the heart of most sellers
- no problem for this guy, though) . . . . but wait! chapter 2 of this
saga. he's changed the name to betehrc (too lazy to think up a new
one?) and has 476 listings out there!!!

Re my earlier message about 477 items, I see that beteherc is
"no longer a registered user".
Keeping an eye open for future scams still applies!
