Subject: [CB] A big recorderToday, the Washington Post kid page (right after the Commix) had a short
article on recorders. It included a picture of a lady playing what
appeared to be an 8 or 9 foot tall recorder with a 4 foot bocal or air
pipe so she didn't have to stand on a ladder to play. The picture is
credited Adriaan Mosch and the caption reads "Adriana Breukink of the
Netherlands plays the really big recorder that she makes." I searched
the web and the best I could come up with was
http://www.moeck-music.de/english/instrumentenbau.htm
which lists a Breukink slide recorder (presumably much higher pitch) It
looks like a cross between a turkish hash pipe and a caber (the phone
pole like thing the Scots toss around.)can anyone add to this.
