Why don't we just contact LeBlanc and get the existing ones fixed. The're
just sitting around gathering dust and were part of an experiment by Mr
Leblanc. From what I understand they weren't meant to be mass produced.

We can further the experiment by using the instruments in various contexts
and dcument the usage. Is this a grantable idea (no pun intended)?

I'm happy to throw down for this project, but I think the idea of creating
new instruments a bit much.

This is the final update on the tuba hike to inform everyone that I did in
fact hike the entire 2,169 miles of the Appalachian Trail with my tuba.
Charisma and I hiked over the 14 states in 169 days.  We started on top of
Mt. Kathadin in Maine on July 1st and finished on top of Springer Mt. in
Georgia on December 16th.  What an amazing accomplishment this hike was
