You know what peice is great for a wind symphony, Yidish Dances by Adam Gorb.
The band I'm with played it in Chicago for Midwest Band and Orchestra
Festival. It has several great trombone, tuba and bass clarinet solos in it.
It makes you want to just say "Oi"

I've just uploaded a number of new pictures, which I plan to incorporate into pages in the next few days (OK, maybe next week).
For anyone who is interested now, they're all in the directory http://www.contrabass.com/pages, and are:

reedcontra8.jpg is the reed contrabass and ophicleide, side by side.

Enjoy,

Grant
