Subject: bathroom practising

Playing in the bathroom is not so unusual, I think.  The flute section at
my high school preferred to do their sectionals in the girls restroom.  I
always wondered what would happen if some males joined the flutes...  On
a few aoccasions, though, me and my friend used the restrooms to warm up
when we couldn't find a place where the teachers would leave us alone.
However, the bathrooms at our school (the men's at least) were absolutely
horribly maintained, so we used it only as a last resort.  My brother has
been discussing the possibility of drum line rehearsals in there, to see
if they could get the porcelain to shatter...

Grant,
I'd be interested in receiving a copy of your repetoire charts, as sometimes I'm
in San Francisco for  a few days, and might be able to do some "busking"!
Regards,
Steven

I've been listening lately to Donald Martino's "Triple Clarinet Concerto"
for Bb, Bass and Contrabass Clarinet. The playing is entirely virtuoso.
Especially astounding is the range and versatility of the Contrabass Clarinet.
The player is (I believe) Leslie Thimmig. Does anyone know if he or she
(can't tell gender by the name) has made any other recordings?
