There's some interesting stuff re infrasonic sound in the current
Scientific American.  For example, apparently elephants regularly
communicate, over distances of miles, with frequencies too low for human
hearing.

Yes, someone is actually selling a Bundy EEb contralto clarinet, URL =
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=12702656.  The
current bid is $560, with 23 bids made so far.

There's also a Noblet wood bass clarinet, URL =
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=13003585, opening
bid $300 (but with a reserve).

Charles Fail music now has a Buescher bass sax for sale, URL =
http://www.charlesfail.com/104772.htm, asking $5,200, and a Besson 4v BBb
compensating tuba for $3,700, URL = http://www.charlesfail.com/prod02.htm.

Aside from those, I think there are a couple of list members who still have
a bass sax and/or contralto clarinet for sale.  Still around?

Enjoy!

Grant
