Hi,
The San Jose Wind Symphony will be performing this Sunday (3/8) at 3:00 PM in Milpitas, CA, at the Milpitas Community Center (457 East Calaveras Blvd). Tickets available at the door.
Amongst other things, we're playing A. Copland's "El Salon Mexico", a "Star Wars" arrangement by J. de Meij, and a number of trumpet features. The Copland piece is great, well arranged, full of time signature shifts. I'm playing off the Eb contrabass clarinet part, and the contrabassoon part (there are a few important contrabassoon parts toward the beginning).
Come listen! I'll be the guy with the big silver thing... ;-)

BTW, Dillon Music is listing a "BBb contrabass valve trombone" in their "Used Instrument" inventory. The description lists it as a turn of the century cimbasso in Bb.
