Does anyone know exactly what is specified by the"quartfagott" and "quintfagott"?? Are both of them names for the tenoroon in F, or does they refer to a bassoon tuned in F between the contra and regular??Anyway,here's some more:

Tom Waits "Rain Dogs" album features some bass sax interludes, as well as a lot of other oddities
György Ligeti's "Requiem" has parts (mostly obligato) for contrabass clarinet, contrabassoon, contrabass trombone, bass trumpet
Charles Mingus "Epitaph" includes bassoon and bass/contrabass clarinet, in his original arrangement
"Trio Saxetto" for bass sax, bassethorn and piano by Miklos Maros.

Isn't there a recording of Coltrane playing "India" together with a contrabassoon??Mats Öljare
