Count me in as a customer for such a video, and I would, of course, like as much as possible on it. If you get a couple of people willing to run around videotaping, perhaps you could make both a "workshop tape" and a "performance tape." I'm in for both!

Subject: Bb Bass Clarinet.

To all bass clarinetists,

Have any of you ever heard Eric Dolphy or Bob Mintzer solo on their bass clarinets? Eric Dolphy really played some cool licks.

Bob Mintzer has great expression.

What are some other jazz bass clarinets or contra-bass clarinetists I should listen to? I love to play Coltrane changes on my bass clarinet. Can anyone recommend any jazz pieces written specifically for Bb bass clarinet?

I'm a student at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Sincerely,
Brad Nelson
