Hi,
I have three MP:
- A VITO: throw it as far you can
- A CLARK FOBES: Very cheap and best price/performance I ever got
for a MP
- A WOODWIND: Better than the Fobes, the clarinett is less
queeking in the upper register, in the lower register very comparable
with the Fobes, but more expensive.
I always using the Vandoren CBCL-reeds strenght 3 and a rovner 4RL for
fixing the reed.
Best regards
Harald

Contrabass Mouthpieces

Hello, a question for the contrabass
clarinettists out there.
I understand all three brands are
essentially made by Leblanc for its lines of contra clarinets. Are
there dimensional variations that make them play differently?
I also know they all take Vandoren CB
reeds.
I own 2 contra mouthpieces, one is a
Woodwind I use on my BBb, and the other is a Leblanc for my EEb. Is it
worth it to buy a Vito brand to try it out, or are they all the same
and I shouldn't bother?
Appreciate any input.
Willy
