Subject: [CB] Wiseman bass clarinet cases?
From: Eric Mumpower
Date: 10 Mar 2002 19:59:44 -0500

So, I know Wiseman makes two slightly different models of his bass clarinet
case, the "A" and the "B", and that the "B" is 30cm longer than the "A". (If
you don't know what I'm talking about, you can look at
www.wisemancases.com.) I also understand that these cases can carry one or
two soprano clarinets at the same time as the bass clarinet.

I'm tempted to buy one, as I almost always need my soprano as well when I'm
carrying my bass.

What I'm unclear on is the manner in which these cases are equipped to carry
the soprano clarinets. Is it the same no-pressure-on-the-keys arrangement as
for the bass clarinet itself? Or is it shaped and padded troughs like a more
traditional soprano case? Or is it even less close-fitted than that?

Hoping to lug fewer cases,
Eric
