Subject: [CB] TubaJazz 2001 radio program this Thursday (5/3)For those interested in modern tuba stuff (and if you are not on the TubaEuph list) I want to let all contrabassers know that this Thursday from Noon to 2pm PDT on KFJC 89.7fm I will be doing a show on recent recordings featuring the tuba, TubaJazz 2001.
Here is a list of some of the avant-garde / improv / modern jazz / funk & misc. tubists I will be presenting during the show. (In no particular order)
- William Roper
- Marcus Rojas
- Edwin Rodriguez
- Mark Weaver
- Kirk Joseph
- Bob Stewart
- Jim Self
- Michael Vogt
- Howard Johnson & Gravity
- Brian Wolff
- Matt Perrine
- Tom Heasley (BTW, he is doing a special performance at the UC Berkeley art museum on May 6th, 3pm)
Not everybody, by a long shot - but it is all I have time for right now ! I hope those in the SF Bay Area will tune in to 89.7FM this Thursday, and for those out of our broadcast area, give the internet feed a try -http://kfjc.org/netcast.html I cannot guarantee how good it will sound or how long you will stay connected (we are having a lot of problems with the system right now...)Thanks,
Dave Richoux

Subject: Re: [CB] More picturesThanks, Simon and Grant, for the pictures. Some nice work on
that extension. That solution should work for any straight contra-
clarinet. Bass and alto clarinets, too. Simon, any plans to market
this system?Craig

A measurement in Hz might be a better guide.
