I can think of only one other super large "instrument" that allowed
multiple inputs - a few years ago at BurningMan somebody built a giant
wall of about 50 old junk pianos (mostly just the frames and strings) 3
pianos high! then he put out a pile of sticks and hammers. Anybody that
came to visit this sculpture/instrument could bang, strum, kick, climb,
or just sit around to hear what was being created (all day - all night
for three days.) There was even a small bar room inside where you could
sip a beer while the "music" played. At the end of the event the whole
thing was lit on fire - as the strings popped and frames crashed it was
even more strange!Dave Richoux
