Performers' Music in the Fine Arts Building on South Michigan Avenue is a good place to visit.

Carl Fischer Music is a name used by the former manager of the REAL Carl Fischer retail store for his smaller sheet music store in the Music Mart at 333 South Wabash.

Dear Grant,

Thanks for your kind  e-mail. Yes! In fact someone has written for
2 Heckelphones!

Lorentzen, Bent   -    "Maiden into Bird" ballet suite for orchestra (1967/1975)

I have also asked Dorthy Papadakis and also Eric Ewazen to
consider writing for 2 Heckelphones, as they have both written for
Heckelphone in the past. My aim at the moment is to network all the owners/
players in North America and to continue refining the list of works
employing either Heckelphone or bass oboe (about 170 pieces so far).Did you
receive the list file?

           With absolutely best wishes,

            Peter Hurd

Hi Peter,

Yes, but haven't had a chance to go through it yet.  I assume it is
being prepared for publication?
