**Bassoon ** Bari Sax ** Bass Clarinet**
"Virtuoso" (I wish)

I noticed that Woodwind-Brasswind is selling Cimbassos. They didn't
pecify a price. It said, for details call "chuck." Anyway, you should
buy one if you like Cimbassos

Look at the bid history:  all the bids were withdrawn because it turned
out this horn was hot!  I was suspicious when I saw the closeup JPG of
that engraving with number and initials on it: looked obvious that it was
a school instrument.  Of course, it might have been a school inventory
liquidation or something... but no, somebody else noticed it, somebody
checked I guess, and it turned out to be stolen!

Dear List:
Ever since I have looked through the Amati-Cerveny catalogue I have
been wondering about the helicon.  To me it looks like rotary sousaphone, but
I don't know.  If some mongerer out there can tell me a history and about the
helicon, I would appreciate it very much.
