Dear listmates,
Next month, April 11th, I will play the first recital of "El Ruise=F1or Grave" ("The Bass Nightingale") Recitals for solo Contrabassoon.
I will play  Bottesini and Koussevitzky works arranged for contrabassoon by myself, Study after "Salome" of R.Strauss-V.Bruns and "Kicho" of Astor Piazzolla. ("Kicho" D=EDaz  was the name of the most famous double bass player of Piazzolla group).
You see, this is a tribute to the double bass from the perspective of a contrabassoonist. And a tribute to the "bass zone". Greetings.
MONICA FUCCI

ohh ho ho ho I see what you mean you Narcissus "woodwind Specialist". But
Grant has the right to do what he wants with his email. Right, good. He does
because its his list good ok. I was a lot out of line there in saying it.
Sorry everyone for the words. It just sorta bugs me but its a passed feeling.
Hey no offense Grant. You run a good news group.
(this next segment is directed at Shour) Now, professor of New Mexico
State Univ. if Grant can do want he wants because he set up the list then by
God if I'm a really good sax player then ya know I have a right to flaunt it.

Matt (Still an excellent Bari Sax player, without a Narcissus complex)

Hey Sorry Grant I just read your message and realized that copying points from
the last letter sent is a well thought out Idea.  For many of the reasons you
listed. It was very subjective of me to criticize you for what you do. Like I
said in the other letter you run a good news group.

In my mind, it has always been that part of what makes up a really good
MUSICIAN, is the fact that they Don't flaunt it.

just my thoughts on being respectable,

Matthew Hanson
(the repair guy, not Matt the flaunting bari sax player)   =)

Not a problem!  If you don't ask, you never find out.  ;-)  There are other
reasons as well.  For example, I've observed confusion in other lists when
a thread becomes fairly long, and the original message has been so edited
that it no longer reflects what the original author said.  In some groups,
this leads to a lot of "I never said that" and "You have me confused with
the guy who *replied* to my message, taking the opposite stand" (and
sometimes, a lot less civil than that...).

Enjoy!

Grant
