On another topic, I received an inquiry today about a news item that
apparently ran on one of the local (SF area) TV stations a couple of years
ago, about an SF artist who had created a "macro-horn" or "macro
instrument".  The instrument was supposedly so deep and loud that it could
be heard for miles.  Does this sound familiar to anyone?

It happens periodically.  At the moment, I'm trying to assemble a
comprehensive patent strategy for a presentation tomorrow (yes, that's why
I'm reading and answering email right now...).

However, once I'm done I'm planning to bring up a discussion on the
contrabass keyboard that Wagner (I think it was Wagner) had built for his
opera house, with the oversized pipes.  An article appeared in the Journal
of the American Musical Instrument Society a couple of years ago, and I
just ran across it while going through boxes in the attic...

Anyone remember the article or the instrument?
