Stuart,
I would think the metal would be more shrill. A sound you want to avoid.

Dear listmates,
Anybody know if it is possible to obtain copies of these works?:
Schmitbach, Carl Ferdinand: Concertino in F major for contra and string orch.(prob. ed. Hannover, 1840) and Schmitbach, Carl  F. Concert Piece in B flat major for contrabassoon and small orch. (1832, private ed. Hannover, 1835).
Besides, I need information about the editors of:
Poulenc: Two Marches and Intermezzo for winds
Poulenc: Le Bal  Masque for voice and instr.
Poulenc: Le Bestiaire for voice and instr.
Poulenc: Villanelle for pipe and piano.
Thanks. Monica Fucci.
