hi, i recently bought a bundy contra alto clarinet that i'm happy with except it came with the stock
bundy  mpc.  i checked the woodwind & brasswind catalog & the only choice i have is the selmer  c
mpcs (the woodwind model is only for vito & leblanc & why is that?)   i have a bundy bass clarinet
that came with a meyer mpc. which i really love  so i've been spoiled.  does anyone know of any
other choices available new or used?   thanks,    nick delmatto

also, i miss the old digest format.  i tried changing it with  grant's new server & they sent a response
that said that i had to go thru him to change it.

The Woodwind maker is a subsidiary of Leblanc, so naturally they make mpcs
that fit Leblanc and Vito (another Leblanc sub) horns.  The mpc receiver on
these horns is a different size from the receiver on other horns, so they
are not interchangeable.  Bundy and Selmer (USA) are subsidiaries of
Selmer, so those mpcs should be interchangeable with each other.

BTW, the WW&BW carries a lot of stuff that is not in their print catalog.
The best thing to do is call them up by telephone and ask.  If they have
Selmer C* mpcs for Eb contra, they can probably also get you a Selmer D,
and possibly other mpcs.  Just ask.

Well, this is strange.  I've changed you to digest manually, but this
requires me to first unsubscribe you, then resubscribe you under the digest
format.  You'll receive a "Farewell" message, followed by a "Welcome"
message, but don't worry, you *should* still get the next digest!
