Harwood is a stencil name produced in the 1920s.  More than likely a Conn or
Buescher instrument.  Details of engraving, markings and numbers can reveal
more.

Harwood is a stencil brand Buescher Bass, early 1920's,
good playing horns for less dough than the "brand name"
Hope this helps.    -Jeff Brody (Buffalo, NY)

"Harwood Proffesional" was just a Buescher Stencil bass saxophone.  It was
probably made between 1916-?1922?.  In good condition you could expect $4500
from this horn; in the current condition, probably about $2500-3000;
depending on the severity of the damage.  It's playing characteristics
should be about the same as any Buescher...  give me the serial number and
I'll try my best to find out the year.
Enjoy your bass,

Certainly! Harwood Professionals were stencil horns made by Buescher,
the same company that endorsed the Six Brown Brothers.
(This site will be updated in a couple of days, so check back then!)
Your horn is a Buescher, in short!
