Subject: King Eb recording bass for sale

For sale:

1936 silver King Eb recording bass (22" diameter bell forward) with three
valves.
This instrument is in fair overall condition and in decent playing condition.
It has seen better days (haven't we all!) and it has numerous dings and dents.
The silver plate is 80-85% intact and the main and first valve tuning slides
are frozen.  I have managed to play it in reasonably good tune with a Conn 18
mouthpiece (which is included).  I am primarily a euphonium player and I have
found that switching between the tuba and euphonium mouthpieces has been
detrimental to my euphonium playing.  I don't have time to practice both, so
the tuba needs a new home (one with more space than mine).  It's been a fun
instrument to own.

$400 with preference given to potential buyers in the New York City
metropolitan area who can visit and try the instrument (which is located in
Brooklyn, NY).  I am not interested in packing this beast for shipping.
Please email questions to: seebaugh@aol.com

Thanks,

David
